Former Home Minister and Awami League Presidium member Advocate Sahara Khatun is being taken to Thailand on Monday (July 8th) for better treatment. She will be admitted to Bumrungrad International Hospital as her condition remains unchanged, her nephew Mojibur Rahman said on Friday.

Sahara was admitted to the private hospital on June 2 with fever, allergy and old-age complications. The report of her coronavirus test came negative, Mujib said, urging the country’s people to pray for her recovery.
On June 19, Sahara Khatun was moved to the intensive care unit of United Hospitals Ltd as her condition worsened. As her condition improved, she was shifted from ICU to HDU (High Dependency Unit) on June 22. On the morning of June 26, she was again taken back to ICU as her condition deteriorated.
